Actually thinking about it, I probably wouldn't want to hit boost on a wet road in that

Was it on corner weights or local weigh bridge? good weight all considered if correct ;) I have found in the past the latter can be a bit out :S DG

Duncan, it was on a weigh bridge (though they are inspected for accuracy every 3 months by HMCE I don't know what its +/- accuracy was). Seb, I haven't actually implemented all those weight savings on that web page, its just a list of easily changable parts with their associated weights for general knowledge. As for hitting peak boost in the wet, I wouldn't even want to do that in a standard VXT let alone mine, I expect even an NA can be forced to spin up in a good downpour

It would be an impressive performance of Swan Lake on Ice though.

Auxillary adjustable electric brake vacuum pump and pipework + fittings + relay have now been ordered from the USA. Can't wait to fit it all and have bionic brakes. Hopefully if it works I should be able to stop on a button and lock the wheels out at almost any speed.

I put a new set of Toyo R888's on this Saturday which have made quite a noticable improvement in handling. Luke, you'd be most welcome to a psx ride. When are u back from hell ?!

Am off to a professional magazine shoot tomorrow. Lets hope the rain stays away, as my girlfriend spent 5 hours washing and waxing little Nipper for it. Then on sunday, I have to take the gearbox off again to inspect/replace/investigate the clutch as it slips...

How's the clutch?

It slips when accelerating in a spirited fashion (ie 3/4 to full throttle) at around 5000 revs. As a consquence of this and not wanting to make matters worse I am not driving it much at the moment. I am waiting to summon up the will-power to take it all apart again to determine why.

Thankfully the rain gods allowed us to get the photo-shoot done. It was quite a lot more more involved than I had imagined (took 5 hours) and the photographer (Michael Whitestone) was a real pro. Unfortunately I can't post up any of the pics until the magazine article is published. Also, I have yet to do the full interview (once I have resolved the problem above), but as I am friends with the guy who is writing it, that won't take long as he is already familiar with the project.
