Siztenboots is the only person on both lists, I think. But, pretty sure I saw mention of him cancelling the 'ring trip.

That creates a problem..

FAB and Vocky, anyone living close to you guys that is going to the ring?

I'm kind of hoping it rains... The pax laps in the Europa will be all the more eye opening for people who have never experienced proper wet tyres. :-)

buckimgham hotel best western on trip advisor

I stayed here in August, good location with good facilities - pool, gym, bar etc. Both me and my friend got food poisoning from the restaurant though, not a good impression for a hotel to set. Stay here just don't eat here!

The food is not great. on one occasion i saw into the kitchen and there was a bank of microwave ovens - that explained a few things....:rolleyes:

one very good comment  The bar is well stocked and not too over priced.

I seem to remember that last year, when we stayed there for the s/stone td, the kitchen wasn't offering a full menu ie just snacks - probably just as well  I quite liked the hotel though and for £36 it is a bargain and only 7 miles from the circuit.

Hmmmm. Maybe we'll stop off in Milky Beans on the way over and grab something to eat there. Long time since I've done anything other than drive through Buckingham to know whether there's any decent eateries in town itself. Seem to recall a decent curry house but that was it.

Its not walking distance but not too far, Stoney Stratford has a great Curry House and Chinese as well. Doesn't look like I will be able to drop by the hotel on Sunday. Taking the family off to ballon fesitival in Northampton which means last minute prep of car Sunday night ;)

Anyone else staying at the Travelodge in Silverstone? - I got a room for £22 by booking several months back :) Mr Randall - If you really are doing pax laps in the Europa I would love one if possible. See you on Monday all. Adrian.

Vix, I have been watching the weather, deciding between the Kumhos and 888's, but its definitely a 888 knd of day, though A039'S are always good and you'll have a safer journey there if your travelling on the Sunday as its meant to be very wet. Martin s
