What's the best method to get a good shape to the sunstrip (ie a nice tidy follow of the screen surround)?

Position the strip, press it into the corners, then use a sharp knife or scalpel to cut it to the line of the surround always worked for me.

I like that Savvy2 or is it savvy? I think if I was a company, I would give these away free in exchange for the fantastic promotion they offer.

Hopefully I'll be savvy again one day! BOT do them F.O.C - I asked for the red bit though along with other vinyl work and paid em a few quid for it.

Is that free full-stop or just for local customers?

If so that is just what I am looking for, would even be willing to pay a not hurrendous amount for that!

I didn't want something garish, nor did I want it to look homemade!

Did you fit it to the outside or inside p4cks?

If it turns out like it is in my head then it should look uber-good

How much did it cost you in the end?

Fitted on the outside, and cost me about £5. Not even that really. And it does look good, I must say . It's very subtle.

They'd be happy to supply them to anyone to be honest. Or if you have a design, they can make it up for you. They normally cut the design out of the vinyl.

There is a place near me that will happily apply a free sunstrip just for pulling up and asking for it. You even get 2 choices of which design to get. Both designs have the company name or website on them. Obviously free advertising for the company involved but if you can remove the guff you are not interested in then even better thumbsup

a little bit off-topic, Are your wing mirrors vinyl wrapped or painted black?

Painted. The Vee, Wing mirrors and window surround are painted in anthracite.

I too have a anthracite painted V , surround and wheels

however

the snow has played havoc with the surround, all the paint is flaking off :angry2: (V and wheel are fine)

for the vinyl junkies out there ....where can I get hold of some slightly metallic anthracite vinyl (ideally to match Ford Graphite grey)

cant be doing with rubbing all the flaking paint off, remasking and the 8 or so layers of paint and lacquer I applied last time.

we do the vinyl window surrounds and have an anthracite colour :D
