At that money, I might, if I ever needed one. Duncan is right though, it might cost a shed load more in labour to get it to fit properly and then to prepare it well enough for painting. Wouldn't want to be the first person to try it, although I guess they'll be made to order and subject to differences anyway.

Brilliant, as has been said it might have been cured properly and free from moisture so should completely do away with the bubbling paint problem. £800 is a fair price too

i've found the MVS layup to be very good its just the finishing thats a bit off. For the saving its worth investing a little time fettling it.

After my on going experience I'd say have your own clam repaired unless its in 1000 pieces, my car was hit in August, new clam arrived in November. I still don't have the car back as the paint keeps bubbling / going rough about 4 days after painting. Paint company has been brought in now and they are going to have another go with considerably extended time in the oven.

I hope my bodywork comes out OK. It has been dry indoors and never below 12c for almost 18 months, and I am taking it to the paint shop that does all kinds of composite cars including Williams F1 and Virgin/Manor F1, but you never know.

I like the louvres (cut outs) from the McLaren F1 LM
No need for extra bits, just a stencil, hacksaw blade and sanding block. Sounds easy

Which also brings me to another off topic subject. Wing mirrors of the F1 come in 2 flavours. Like above or incorporated into the doors but positioned high up. I would like to see what they would look like on the VX. Like this

They only did that on the press prototype. They gave significant lift at high speed so where moved. Looks good though

Doesn't LeeVx220 have something like that? I am sure he has fitted his on on his VX. As for the F1 it as to be the natural (low) position that wins

Even higher, would require door frames though. I think i will just buy an F1 instead.

I wonder if MVS will also produce the 2 types of rear clams too. Has this development put up the prices of 2nd hand clams?

I would of thought the opposite - why buy damaged for ~£600 when you can get a new one from MVS for only £800...
