Has this development put up the prices of 2nd hand clams?


I would of thought the opposite - why buy damaged for ~£600 when you can get a new one from MVS for only £800...

and possibly a better lay-up than the injection moulded filth the OE ones are made of. Lets just hope the mould is well braced so they are all produced straight.

Some time ago, carspecials.de listed a 1-off custom rear clam on the german forum for 800:

Hopefully the will go in production. (and also other versions)
This one has a lost boot space, so only interesting for the track guys.

Rumour is that it has been custom made for an english guy :D

So, this could mean old clams can be bought cheaper, repaired then sold for less than the MVS clam?

Regardless of the source, an unpainted complete clam will be worth about 800 quid. Painting can still be rubbish and cause bubbling.
