Does anyone have any measurements for the M32? Looking for alternative gearboxes in the exige....the alfa romeo close ratio box sounds interesting :)

If Vocky's experience is anything to go by, it's an expensive option as, they're very hard to track down. The more normal VXR M32 seems to be much easier to come by.

Ratios are all wrong for an 8k+rpm though. The only other suitable option at present is the audi 6 spd box, but but the conversion is £4k fitted!! Thought the alfa box could be straight forward swap with an adaptor plate...

Vauxhall Turbo Spares have offered me a box from an Astra GSi Turbo.  Can anyone confirm compatibility?

the zafira A - 2.2 box comes with a 4.17 and is a straight swap into the 2.2 vx220

the zafira A - z20let gearbox comes with a 3.95 final drive ratio and is a straight swap into a 2.0 vxT

There are three manual transmissions in development by GM for use in Europe - this are 5 and 6 speed variants intended to address shift quality and save weight, using carbon fibre casing where possible. Should be available by 2016.

I assume these will mate to the Z22SE and Z20LET (because it would be daft to change the bell housing) so should create some more options.

Quaife Lsd or a similar type is not recomended when a M32 box is fitted for rear wheel drive , Its fine on a Astra vxr front wheel drive. I looked at putting one on mine saved a few quid by not fitting one, Good luck Nick if you can do it for £800 Will be nearer 2k Europa gear shift and drive shafts new over 1.4k
