Are these mats still made of the rubber backed stuff, so non-breathable?
My VX had corrosion on the alu floors under the fitted carpets due to trapped moisture, so carpeted VX-ers should take notice of this... :dry:

Thanks Aimy, your indeed correct, these carpets have NEVER had rubber backing so im not sure whos carpets you had fitted exmantaa, Mine have a material soft backing. The topic has arisen before.

I bought my car with carpets fitted and these have some pastic/rubbery backing. And trapped moisture underneath.

Was reading this topic and on the 1st page is mentioned => "The carpets are rubber backed and need little adhesive or fixing really..."

Breathable = good., the other type not so on a VX floor... :dry:

Appologies Exmantaa it does indeed say in the first post they are rubber backed, i don't know why i ever wrote that! You can even see in the original pics from the very first set i made, that they have a white material backing, and as mentioned breathable. If i could edit the original post i would.
