I had the same issue; couldn't make it fit whatever way I tried I just left it off in the end, I think its all the better for it too

Appologies, looks like i've missed an inch cut. The piece with the cuts fits around the tunnel and then the tunnel piece holds a in place. I'm sure there is close up pics somewhere in this thread.
