welcome! chinky chinky

Found this Clickety Click using a quick search on the registration.

It's had the engine replaced by the looks of things. Not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing.

Cheers

If its possible to get the VIN number (HPI checking etc) then take a look at the Build/VIN Number sticky topic list at the top of this page. It may show a forum members user name who you can then pm to get more info chinky chinky

Thanks Penny

Have just got the VIN number through - build number is 6209.

From the listing the owner was member Chris / Keeley, but PM did not work.

Chris - if you are still on here I would appreciate any info you could give me on the car. (It is being brought up from West Bromwich to Stirling for me to view later this week)
Cheers

Mine has had it's engine changed for a refurbed one from Vauxhall classed as having 0 miles on it and I don't/wouldn't see it as a bad thing. If anything, imo, it is a benefit rather than an issue provided it's done professionally as mine was!

I like how I now know how the engine has been treated ;)

There are a few minor items requiring attention, but the main issue for me is that the car has had a full respray. It is HPI clear and there is no sign of accident damage. The respray looks to be a decent job, and not brand new.I would like to know the reason for the respray being done. Does anyone know this car who can give me any info? Link to dealer's website listing: http://www.arnoldcla...o-2-dr/2003-(03)/ref/arnat-17973/ Price looks reasonable - any thoughts? Cheers Marshall

Very difficult to know the reason for a full respray but, for example, it could be due to the infamous 'bubbling' which happens, particularly in very cold weather, as moisture in the GRP expands and cracks the paint thumbsup or, it could have got a lot of stonechips on the front/sides and the owner decided that a better colour match would be achieved by a complete job rather than a partial one

Just typed in the number plate of the car I'm viewing tomorrow and this thread popped up, very interesting how it's ended up in Kent. Any info again would be appreciated. Did anyone find out why it was resprayed? Any major issues? Thanks
