Yeah, compression test as advised, general checking over to if they can see the problem and then go from there.
I really can't be doing with another big expense to put this right, so hopefully it's something simple.

Fcuksticks! Fingers crossed it's nothing nasty and is a quick, cheap fix.Yeah, compression test as advised, general checking over to if they can see the problem and then go from there.

I can still drive it and performance wise it seems ok, it's just guzzling oil and stinks!

What grade oil are you using? Maybe it's just a bit too thin after the head work you had to have done.
