Good luck Ali, will check in later. Let us know what is what before you agree for any work to be done.

Didn't look bad at all, just a puff of smoke when booting it after a time on idle. Does breathe heavily though for an NA.

Jon at CS told me that the NA engines are quite heavy breathers. What equates to heavy breathing i don't know.

wellllllll, there was a big list but none of it related to the problem it went in about  Compression readings: 175,180,175,180. which is pretty normal?? Emissions are fine too. They can't find any leaks, but like Matt said, suggested maybe the oil is too thin. They have said i should change my oil to semi synthetic and try a supplement to give everything a bit of a clean? any other ideas?

Phew. Compression sounds fine and it's nice and even across the cylinders judging by those numbers. Definitely worth trying a thicker 10W/40 or 10W/50 or maybe even thicker still. Really hope it's as simple and cheap as that. thumbsup

Glad its been sorted and a quick easy solution.

It only did smoked when they red flagged the session and we sat at the end of the pit lane for while. Its only when you took off did it have any smoke and even then not much at all. Never seen anything when we where out on track.

Thicker oil is a thumbsup result

Yup, consensus to try thicker oil is a good one. Glad it was nothing scary, the car felt fine when we went out. Could this be the oil that I gave you??? It is 0W 40. I think that is a viable possibility.

I'm using 0/40 and i think it's too thin. I reckon it's why my car is a bit smelly especially since SCing. After tomorrows TD I'm going to change it to 10/40. Hope it's all sorted Ali and the panic is over thumbsup

I don't think so, it was doing it before. I'll try some thicker stuff anyway :)

Impressed with the sound on the IPhone. Hearing the superchargers around the banking was very impressive. Do you have to own one to join the appreciation society?
