Well... It looks like I WILL be driving after all! Hopefully with a few surprises for the stage 3.5/4 (meaning pre-harrop boys! ;))

What you up to mr Rrich

I know I know!

Yeps Beds convoy sounds good thumbsup
Joe doesn't seem too thrilled at the prospect of leaving home at 9am though. Can we take it in turns to creap into his room and bash pots and pans next to his head on the sunday morning?

If we leave Joe's at 9 we'll miss the train! :poke:
takes 2.5hrs to Folkestone from Aylesbury according to my maps app and I think we should allow extra time for possible traffic and time to group when we get there as well as grouping in the Aylesbury/Beds area. Check in up to an hour before the train leaves.

Ps. Banging pots and pans is a great idea!

Guys/girls hows things looking for the trip? (18 pages is a bit to much for my brain to comprehend tonight) There's 3 places available and it's most tempting to join the Team VX. Has anyone booked recently at the hotel and is there spaces left? Are there still stickers, shirts going so I can hang out with the cool kids? :P

oh shitsticks yeah, I was still running on Spa train times, which was 12.20, we're actually crossing at 11.20 so should leave Joe's just after 8?

We're going to have to light a bomb under salad fingers to get her up that early, do not let her anywhere near vodka/wine the night before.

I'll just start my car! That'll wake everyone up!

It's possibly going to get a tad louder this weekend too! I SO hope there are some tunnels en route! Will have to restrain myself on the train so as not to get booted off for antisocial behaviour!

Oh yes. Rouen tunnel is a mighty fine place to exercise the exhaust. Another shorter tunnel closer to Calais as well. But, Rouen, is the daddy. :D

Not having driven in frog land before, only in Italy in a diesel hire car, is premium unleaded petrol widely available? And is it any more expensive than here? I'm budgeting £250 for fuel for the weekend and that's with me not tracking! Ouch! (based on a less optimistic mpg and with UK fuel prices)

From my experience at my last LOT trip to France watch out for gendarme running out of the bushes and flaging you down. rallly

Fortunately Dynamos good French saved us a few hundred euros so I'm hoping having FAB in the convoy will be useful!

I know they have petrol but do they have PREMIUM unleaded petrol?

My French isn't good but I'm sure I'll manage! ;)

I loved the petrol stations in Italy! They filled the tank for us with the amount we requested an cleaned our windscreen! thumbsup
In one petrol station the attendant was too short to clean the front screen so had a little box to stand on! It was only a Fiat Bravo!

So, to someone who will actually answer my question without referring to their 'simply the best, better than all the rest, ITB monster'... ;) Is premium/super unleaded widely available. The yellow peril will run on the standard stuff but prefers to drink a quality beverage! :)

I came on to see if there was any important info re Le Mans but just found 18 pages of twattering on about stuff nothing much to do with le mans. If there is anything important we should know can it be posted on a separate site and make it clear that only relevent imformation be added, or necessary, useful comments made. Ir does seem that the minute some people get involved in any events, the posts becomes totally useless. Martin s yes, I am having a crappy day and wanted to moan at someone about something, anything.
