I'm looking into doing Portsmouth/Le Havre. Ferry costs more but there is a significant saving in fuel and time especially if you get the SpeedCat thingy.

I promised myself I was going to get the ferry to Caen for the 24 hour this year and cut out half of that boring schlep. Still ended up booking the Chunnel in the end before having to cancel.

Just thought I'd say that there is a tunnel under the track at Le Bugatti and you can drive lorries through it But i don't care cos you can put me down for the track and hotel, I'll book it tomorrow. Warning triangle in the boot. Reflective waistcoat in the cabin with you (and one for a passenger, if you have one). First aid kit. Theoretically, spare bulbs and headlamp deflectors (but I've never bothered). Plus all of your documents.
