Sorry to hear that mate, there is something not quite right for sure. Even I could put the steering wheel back and change a coil pack in less time than it took to blag you on the phone. Hope this all pans out in the end.

Tough luck there, sorry to hear. Also some deja vu for me. I got a hole in my clam from opel, as a thank you for replacing that expensive ecu. Gone for 2 weeks allready for repair. Idiots.

Zimmer is this the Lotus Specialist near Blaydon (SPJ)? If so I am starting to be switched off them now!

Does seem more than a little bit of sh** treatment... I don't think it will be a nice figure but how much has the bill run to?

If you need a lift across this weekend just drop me a text and I will run you through! Posted Image

Thanks mate, much appreciated. Yes that one in blaydon, going off them myself not sure I'll use them again. Think it's mostly out of their hands to be honest, but stlll don't think they're doing much to help me get my car back. If they were open weekends it'd be better, but taking time off in my job is a pain in the arse.

Hoping the bill won't be too big.
I've sourced the ecu and coil pack myself. As far as I can tell, all they've done is swap the injectors around, test the injector wiring and ecu then fit the new one.....

We'll see. Fingers crossed for tomorrow or friday.

I thought they were open on a Saturday..... They offered to do my brakes on a Saturday morning a couple of months ago.

Anyways.... You got my mobile number if I can help just ask.Posted Image

For the benefit of those searching with similar problems, finally an end to the saga. Got the car back yesterday (6 weeks and 5 days) It was the injector after all!!! The young lad at the garage had told me it wasn't as the fault code hadn't changed when he switched them around. Turned out he was wrong. One injector and problem solved. cost 80 injector, 2 hours garage labour and 4 hours electrician labour (for swapping ecu and coil pack) Plus cost of second hand ecu and new coil pack (300 pounds) Total over £650. Ouch. Hoping to recoup some money so if anyone wants a second hand working coil pack or ecu let me know!! Will be testing them and putting them in the for sale section soon Rich

Also worth mentioning that "the ecu doctor" ecu repair people couldn't get past the security on the ecu to even test it. To change the ecu I needed the ecu itself, the chip from the key and transponder ring which sits around the ignition
