Thank you to Mangham54 I now have a mmg diffuser fitted chinky chinky
Was not really a fan of how much it sticks out from the clam so some new holes drilled and 4 mm rivnuts installed and it fitted a treat, looks much better thumbsup

Damn, that looks good. If only i knew it was that easy to customise the mmg, i would have gotten one too. (here we cannot pass MOT when parts stick out)

Nice! I could be tempted to thieve your idea also! Could we have some shots of it from the side, further away from the car and a few more from distance (with the whole back end in shot from a few different angles)? chinky chinky Would be nice if someone who owns an MMG diffuser popped along and posted a few shots from similar angles of the standard fitment for a direct comparison ;)

I liked mine sticking out as that is how they are supposed to work best - function over form. However, I agree it looks better a bit shorter. Less of a liability as well most likely.

Copy cat  Only joking, looks much better, did you cut 2" off or left it as an over hang?

No need to cut it back, I used rivnuts and used the original 4 mm bolts to bolt the centre trays onto it chinky chinky

Surely you must have the 2" over lapping the middle tray? Not sure what you meant sorry.

It's not actually overlapping as i have removed the rear oe tray fitted the mmg and bolted it up and then bolted the centre trays on top of the mmg just as the oe one fits, I also drilled two extra holes in the mmg to fit the oil drain inspection cover to it chinky chinky

They work on the same principle as a pop rivet, drill a hole fit a rivnut onto the rivet gun and rivet in place you now have a captive nut to fix things in place will go take a pic of the kit chinky chinky
