I'm going to order some team dynamics 1.2's from Thorney while they are at £499. I'll be geting some Toyo Proxes T1-R to fit to them also, but just wanted to know what tyre sizes to go for? I'm ordering my tyres from an ebay shop as I have a paypal voucher to use so I get a good saving....

195/50/16 Front 225/45/17 Rear From what I've heard on here I wouldn't bother with T1Rs. (1k miles to scrub in! ) R1rs perhaps? Or Kumos? Personally I found Goodyear Eagle F1s GSD3 to be a very good all weather tyre thumbsup

If you go for R1R's you will have to go with 205/50 I think for the front, nearer to original circ. anyway. I think in T1R's you can have 195/50, 195/55, 205/50. If you want 888 or 048 you have to have 195/50 because they don't make them in the other sizes, but they are actually a smaller circ than original. Most other makes of High performance road tyres will be a similar situation to the T1R's. Rears are straight forward 225/45 as original, although if you wanted to retain the % diff in circ front to rear you could use 235/40 I suppose, most people would just stick to 225's though.

my vote is kumos ku31s or treat yourself for the summer with 888s, they are special.

indeed R888s or great KU31's, or you can get the Toyo R1-R. There is a huge SELOC discount on these, I think you can get a set for around £520 ish

Ooooh, tempting! Is there any disadvantage to running R1Rs on the road vs. KU31s other than price? Wet handling, etc.?

195/50R16 (Exige/VXR size) or 205/50R16 (this second one nearer to original rolling radius, easier to find and often cheaper) on front and standard rear size.

Don't get the Toyos - I highly recommend the KU31 with 24F/26R pressures cold. Do not mistake for KH31's!!
