Not fully alligned, but we get the idea:

Looks like they have had to sand the sides back to fit that one. I found the rear clams vary in width a touch.

As you can read in zzis zzread http://forum.opel-sp...opic=34428&st=0 (in German and you need to be forum member), the 'German' mould pictured in this thread was sold by the designer to an opel-speedster-club forum member. It seems the intention is to make te coupe backs commercially available. Happened some weeks ago, so still pretty fresh. Haven't heard since that happened, but it least it seems there's something happening.

Interesting..
Was first afraid that this effort was what came out of the German mold buyer, but this one looks more angular and it's open at the bottomside.
Those middle slot supports do ruin it a bit..

Then the slats will be all floppy.
So we will work on reinforcing.
But those horrible things will have to go.

To be fair, once the main part is painted body colour and the louvers painted black the little strut will hardly be seen.

To me, the more angular and rectilign shape ruin the look.
I prefer the original design

Indeed. Not just the louvers are much thicker, but the roundness is gone
Could it be that not the original moulds have been used, but this french version has been made from scratch?
(as not a word on the german forums, and these guys supposedly have the moulds)

Interestingly, the boot-underside of that French copy looks remarkably similar to the German coupe shape and no way near the stock bootlid...
So It looks that they had at least access to a German coupe back, but strange they then messed up the subtle rouded shape...
