Put me down for one of those please luv .

Is that where the ducktale story end?

Bummer. Really looked forward to something different.

As the linda said........

it's only just begun

I'm wanting the rollbar cover to be a part of how the coupe attaches to the car

If the Master FLD has one with provision for hinges then what better place for me to satart

I can chop off the front end of my tool

attach the fld cover and work away from there.

No work after we finish little mermaid next january so I will have the usual down spell

where I need to some thing creative

3 more winters it could be half done !!!

Really like the idea of a hinged rear coupe clam and a Targa top and as I've decided against a supercharger...who can create this stuff, is it all in Europe?? Attached are some I've spotted...I hope.

some progress here...

the first prototype is groing.

Same producer as the original one, carbon fiber out of the autoklav.

perfect craftmanship i must say.

as soon as both shells are bonded together I will take care about the hinges.

I keep you informed.

Yes, saw these on the German forum and waiting on updates there. Parts looking sharp, only being "German" autoclaved carbon I fear the pricing.

Will I be able to buy 1?

The main question here is, will you be able to afford one.

iirc, the first batch of these were 3.5k euro each.

it will be for sale. to name a price it is far too early right now but if it would tend in the mentioned pricing dimension I would head for another supplier. for the moment it is up to get the first one done complete and see what the whole costs are.

Off course you want to deliver a top quality finished and functioning product, but as there are a few trackers/racers interested merely in this coupe "shape", can I suggest that you have the option to supply these also without the hinges (fitting with quick releases) or even delever non-glued/finished shells seperately? (for bonding to the clam)

I'd rather have it in gelcoated GRP. It would have to be painted whatever material it was made in, if it were going on my car, so little point in wasting carbon.

Agreed. Would love to slap a coupe back on mine. Not in carbon though

Possibly, but not with exige hinges.  It'd need hinges fabbing again but it would solve any issues with wear on the bulkhead lip.

ETA: some pics for those following this thread
