Can I ask how they did it? Did they scoop it up with a recovery truck? Did they break in and hot wire it? Did they break into your house for the keys? Chances are its been stolen for parts to rebuild another. Sorry to hear of your loss :grouphug:

Broke into the house and took the keys, looks like they were specifically after the car, took my empty wallett and work laptop when passing through the house, ignored my ducati motorbikes, exepensive push bike, debit card on table etc

It is rare for these cars to be nicked, post up pics and reg details and we'll spread the word so people can keep an eye out for it. thumbsup oops, just noticed you already have :beat: A guy on the SELOC forum had his recently bought Porsche 997 stolen from a 'secure' underground garage after they broke into his house and got the keys... it was found 36 hours later as they'd parked it up a couple of miles away probebly to see if it had a Tracker fitted (which it did) so try and get lots of local friends and family driving round nearby as it may be parked up down a side street for a day or two...

many thanks for the sympathies, car had no distintive features, only had it 6 weeks, looks like they were after my car for whatever reason as no other houses targetted that I know of, thanks for cross posting to other forums., took my keys to my other car (saab) but left the car but I cant use that either as the spare alarm fob is duff (lesson). :tumble:

Sorry to hear that - with the increase in car security it's the main way that modern cars get nicked these days.... which is why my keys are kept on the steps, out of view from the letter box but handy enough so I don't get woken up to be 'asked' where the keys are. PM your crime number - should start in a 20 and end in /10... I'll make sure that it's circulated on our briefings over in Central + South Birmingham. Also put a pic up - always helps...

That sounds terrible that they have targeted your VX specifically, and left your other car.
The fact that they broke into your house to take the keys suggests it could be a planned & pre-meditated robbery.
What is the situation with your insurance regarding theft - if they have the car keys? As it is still "taking without owner's consent".
Do you have any photos so that people on here can look out for it? Although, as they have specially targeted your house, you might expect them to be local from your area.

Good luck, and all the best Posted Image

Any chance the previous owner might be involved?

Wouldn't the previous owner have just copied the keys before selling it rather than having to break in?

Beware. My collegues modus was stolen like that. The Volvo keys were stolen too but not the car. Then 2 weeks later they came back for it. Can't claim as they should have changed Volvo imob coding.
