hmm... then, can we ask Wipac to make and sell us "of the record", if you know what i mean, headlights, at least? If someone knows someone in there...
I ve thought making my own rear lights from fiberglass and leds (i ve done simiral projects, not for a car though), but headlights are the real problem.

I don't think they would do it off the books - it just wouldn't be worth it for a couple of grand profit and Vauxhall would get wind of it (public forum for a start) and stop business/file a lawsuit. This is exactly the same story with the side lights - they are manufactured by Hella, about 2 quids worth of plastic but because under license to vauxhall, they cannot deal directly outside of the OEM. Stupid and unfair, but I guess Vauxhall couldn't operate a spares department to the public and make money if they didn't do this (albeit the VX is hugely unsupported).

They make both LHD and RHD headlights? or the difference has nothing to do with the molds? (its the same for both)

TBH i dont think you will get anywhere with wipac, unless the request comes to them from vauxhall...I tried a while ago:
Commercial exec reply:
The lamps in question are sold only to Vauxhall and we are unable to supply them or any parts of them to anyone else. I understand that you have issues regarding the lamps but I'm afraid this is something you need to discuss with your dealer or with Vauxhall direct.
Any requirements or requests that Vauxhall may have would be something they need to contact us to discuss.

They wouldn't discuss what their minimum run was, so you could go and pester vauxhall to pester wipac, but in the end they may well require a huge min run, and in doing this vauxhall will want a chunk on the £ too!
