I had that problem years ago with shortened springs on a Matra – didn't do anything about it apart from try to avoid potholesOne thing I have noticed with the lowered fronts is that when you jack the are up so the wheel is at full droop the spring is not under tension. In fact it has 9mm of play between the top of the spring and the threaded spring platform. This has caused the spring to incorrectly seat on the platform when I've lowered the car. This could possibly happen if the wheel leaves the road. I'm not happy with this

I wonder how it is with the Oelins, as fitted to the VXR.

Have you got them? I know they are sold seperately for the Elise, but didn't know if they fit the VX. As an Elise driver explained it you undo the steering rack from the chassis, fit the plates to the rack and finally the rack+plate to the chassis.Has anyone fitted these and if so I could do with knowing how you went about it?

Measured where? (Car height is 110 cm, lower arm to ground is XXX)unless you were going under 110 height then there wouldnt be much point.
