Am I being stupid? I can't seem to find the video of this monster going. Has it been removed?

Also forgot to mention that this car is awesome. Good to see someone with ambition and obviously a lot of talent doing something different with the Vx. Looks Sounds like it paid off! Not sure what the insurance company will say about it though

The video is only viewable from the link direct, it carnt be found from the youtube search function as it was only a test thing and was going to take it down when i have a better video.
I,ll pass on the nice comment to my uncle ;)
The insurance was around 450 fully comp from memory about 100 more than the NA was, they was only concerned about the BHP it has now as to how to class it.

Yep, you got it ;)
Cut the original vents out and some of the inner skin then put those 2 things ontop with the outlets pointing at the window, thers no mesh in there at all now so air flows quite freely it would seem. We had to make sure the bulkhead was nice and air tight tho so as not to get gassed by engine fumes
The main reason for this is to stop water going in as this engine design does,nt lend itself to water sitting on it.

Personlly i like the exige bodywork, it would of been nice if they made the vxr with a more aero dynamic rear end like the badster fast back that still had a useable boot.
No AC fitted, were more into making the heater actually work with the UK weather ;)

Im not really sure tbh, we have alot of the ancillaries taken off the rover v8 so its quite alot lighter than OE qouted weights but 2 of us could just about lift either the 2.2 or rover v8 fully built up. Hopefully we,ll get it on a weigh bridge for a ruff idea of car weight by the end of the week chinky chinky

From Sam's comments and looking at the pics, which aren't too clear due to the colour and it's too damn shiney !
The cover is now completely flat without vents, the 'additions' each side allow hot air in the engine bay to rise and vent at the front next to the rear window.

I,ll get a photo of the boot open so you can see the holes, for some reason it looks shineyer in the photos than in the flesh

Went to the weighbridge this morning for a rough guide of the weight.

Posted Image

Had a bet with my uncle what it would be, he said 860kg i said 890kg, of course he went on about the heavy jumper and box of VX badges in the boot  as it turns out the bloke there said it rounds to the nearest 20Kgs and can legally be 20Kgs out so the real weight could be miles away. I still win the bet tho chinky chinky
