I've got a leak from the bleed screw on the top hose coming from my rad, I'm assuming the washer has perished, anyone got a part number for it? Done a search but can't find part number. Any help is much appreciated

no it's not a washer you need but a jubilee clip big enough to go round rubber surround (about 10mm from memory). Tighten it up and your leak will be no more. Regrettably it sounds a bit like your forum name but it does work.

I have the same "fix" on mine with no problems. If you want the part get it from lotus instead of vxl, as it's half the price (about £60) for exactly the same part. How do vxl think they can get away with it? :beat:

if you get it from lotus then you have to replace both pipes as there bleed nipple is on the other side i think

I haveboth sides in silicon from Elise parts, it lasted aonth before it started weeping from the bleed nipple, the boss for the nipple turns in the silicon :(. Fixed it with a cable tie, not enough room for a jubliee clip on the ep one.

Jubilee clip is a popular fix. I used the later style 'turbo' hose because I had it spare and the clam was off anyway and didn't want to risk needing to take it off again. Has the same plastic bleed screw as the heater hoses. Works fine so far.

Sorry mate no picture But I had the same just have a look with the headlight removed and stick a clip or I used a cable tie about half way down the nipple that the bleed screw is in the end of Tighten it and you will probably find the bleed screw is now tight and dosent spin round

open the bonnet and look under the clam towards the H/light, you'll see the hose and the bleed nipple which will be on top.

thanks. I had a look and found the screw would actually tighten up a full turn or so- might this sort it without the need for a cable tie. If I need to fit his does it just go around the rubber collar which has the bleed nipple on top of it? does it matter to which side of the screw you wrap it round?

Another for the jublee and a little PTFE around the thread of the screw. Not a drip now.
