After 6 years of ownership, I sadly waved goodbye to my vx last night. I have met some great people through the forum and I will still continue to visit the site as fequently as i currently do. (maybe thats why so many former owners continue to buy another vx?) Its taken a long time to settle my mind on a potential replacement for the vx, although it will have to come at a greater cost in terms of purchase price and running costs, it just goes to show how good these little plastic cars are. I suppose all good things must come to an end.

So it's the end of an Era today. Rex the VX leaves for Holland today. :( From being a small boy I always wanted a "sports car" and used to dream of owning a car that was fast. I drove my VX around like the poser that I am, loving the fact that people stopped and stared when I parked up. The look on the small boys faces when I drove by and they pointed and smiled. That little boy was me many years ago. Today is the end of that era and I move onto pastures new. I raise a glass to the many new friends I have made and all the new places I have been from owning this car. chinky chinky I just hope Erik get's as much enjoyment, frustration and smiles out of the car as I did. Bob

Will still be on the Hoon matey. thumbsup Not sure what car I'll be in though.
Maybe there should be an ex-owners section of the forum for people to discuss their replacement cars etc. I'll maybe put that in the suggestion box.

From one bob to another, once a vx'er always a vx'er! You'll still be part of .Org and will no doubt be back in the not too distant future. A few frustrations you had, but there are frustration free vx's out there. And you'll no doubt not miss the national as we all know how much you love welsh ironing boards

I'll still be around mate. As I said before, I've been on loads of great trips and met some great people on here so won't be giving that up. I'm just giving up Vx ownership for a while. Who else is going to correct you when you say its the police`s fault that you were speeding. :P

She's(my girlfriend says it a "he") in good hands Bob, it was a amazing drive back to Holland and you're totally right with the little boys at the side of the road. I used to be a car spotter a few years ago and now it's just waiting to be spotted by a mini me;-) Hope you soon get another red or yellow (not the dull silver) VX so we can go out for some honing through Scotland.
