Steve you are a legend both on-line and in real life, I don't know what had caused the change, but I hope to god that it isn't because someone on here has given you grief about anything you have posted.

Christ... With reduced roles from Slindy, Fab and Ickle-Steve I can't see much point in sticking around myself - maybe that is the intention... Without the craic on here, all I am left with is a disappointing itch that cannot be scratched for a little while yet.

A really serious .org is a sh** thing, in my opinion!

Sad to read this thread. Even more sad that I missed at the time.

I'm still about but working two jobs and exams in January, coupled with a VX that is currently largely unused mean I have kept a low profile for a bit.

Sad to read about Big Steve departing. I know you'd talked about it, and having met you and your family I can see why.

That won't stop me from echoing what has already been said though:

I have not been a user on this forum for the last few years for reasons I would rather not discuss.

I met some really good people on here in my early days of VX ownership and feel kind of bad that I lost contact and slipped into the rut I recently found myself in.

Must admit as I look through the forum here there are only a handful of names I recognise. Things have changed and people have moved on I guess. The average owner seems to be much younger !!!

As of Thursday this week i will no longer own a VX220. It is a bag of mixed emotions to be honest. I will really miss that car, the ride, the smile it gave me each time, the cheap running cost (in 5 years it has cost me bugger all).

However, i wont miss the two seats. Time has come for me to get a 4 seater so I have traded her in. When the guy took her out for a test drive she sounded amazing, I really do think it was the best sounding VX out there, apart from Fab's. That Piper, de-cat and ITg have really bed in well over the years and she just sounds better with age.

I would like to turn up at some future meets, maybe kent/surrey/sussex runs to see some old faces. I will keep my distance as i will be in a rep mobile lol.

Hello mate. Yes still working with the numpty Browne's and O'Leary bless him. he must tell me every day how he knows a guy with a VX220. "Rich, I know, we discussed it 1000 times!"

You know my arse isnt fat, I recall you commenting how nice it was many a time. That was a particular spiteful moment from that nutter Fab!

I am keeping pretty well now. I had to delete facebook for a while due to some odd behaviour, but will open it again soon. look forward to beating your NA in my new Turbo. (that was a joke. I know how you wring every bit of performance out of that NA. Tried to keep up many a time).

Well, my yellow baby has gone to a new home. Chap called Ying (Shaolin on here) came to collect her this morning. Seemed like a nice guy & I hope he has as much fun with LY016 as I did. I'll doubtless be back in another VX in the future but for now it's back to 2 wheeled superbikery for me. Thanks to everyone who's helped me out & made the .org & Vx ownership such a joy.

After about 4 and a half years and 3 vxs, I waved goodbye to number 3 today In my head this is very much a break and I'll rejoin the party sometime soon
