Hi all, I have recently become a VX owner and I am part of ultimatecarbon specialising in VX, Exige and Caterham carbon fibre parts. We make nearly all VX interior parts but have just completed our first pair of inner sills in carbon (black parts that split/crack). Wondered how many would be up for a group buy on these? They are autoclave cured prepreg items that are MUCH stronger than factory items without weighing the earth. The weave is pretty much perfect in terms of straight weave alignement and surface finish. Once cured under 90 psi of pressure for the best finish they are given a laquer finish at a profesional bodyshop so it will be more hard wearing than a rattlecan plus a far superior finish. They are FULL carbon and no fibreglass backing to cut corners so you can be assured you are getting a quality part. They arent to be confused with wetlay carbon that very often are distorted weave, not as strong and heavier than pre preg I have just offered them up in my car and I must say I am very pleased with the finished results :groupjump: We can offer them to vx220.org members for a limited time for £250 a pair with a money back garantee IF you arent satisfied for any reason but I am confident you will be. Please bear in mind the crappy plastic items arent cheap and they will only crack again when you breath on them. I will try and get some photos up tonight but I am busy getting ready to go away so it maybe tomorow. If interested please put your name below I can also make up some wing mirror covers to the same standard that actually fit perfect around the edges they are on offer again for a limited time at £55 Cheers Scott

They look . Just wonder how well the finish will stand up to people dragging their feet and backsides across it. It's surely going to knacker the lacquer isn't it?

Please note the pic with the sill in the car isnt fitted properly as I may need to remove the speaker panel. My old ones came out ok because they would bend and these wont! just thought it would be good for people to get an idea what they look like in the car.

You couldn't do a custom drivers side sill could you? Either without the recess at all (so just flat all the way across), or with a specific hole in it?

I'll have a pair of turbo sills - I would offer my old ones as moulds but they are cracked, particularly the drivers NA 1. simonk0_0 Turbo 1. soupdragon

:yeahthat: maybe a protective piece of clear vinyl over the top section would help?

Do look rather sexy though, you definitely need to do some for the tubby (and in matt)

Sorry Simon, I was a bit hasty with my reply there
I believe the NA's will fit ok but have a different pocket at the front
Hopefully there will be a reasonable demand for turbo sills, particularly strong ones
It would be great to fit and forget
