The lacquered version looks much better and is much more practical. At least when it gets scratched to buggery, you can just sand it back and respray it. thumbsup

Are they not both lacquered though, just that the non shiny one has a matt finish lacquer?
If so you could presumably sand and respray with a matt finish too?

Just fitted the matt finish sills this afternoon as the weather was nice.

I will be honest they look nice on when not in the car, they look excellent when there in the car!

Didn't take me too long, about an hour, mainly due to not being to undo the screw behind the pax seat!!!!

My only concern is that the drivers side sill is a little flexable where I slide my arse over. I assume the padding that was there originally was replaced by the glue after the sill was repaired, anyone got any ideas how I can re-pad it, I would use foam but the sills get rather warm don't they? Cheers GiGo

I would be interested in some for Turbo (VXR). Have I missed the boat on this one? I don't know why I didn't spot this thread earlier.

Looks like there is enough interest to warrant making the moulds for the turbo sills but we are to busy untill after Xmas so will keep you updated and also we would need some turbo sills to make moulds from if anybody got some lying around to donate or do a deal on

I don't have a VX220 (yet) but would certainly be interested in a pair of Tubby sills in the new year (presuming i've found the right car by then)

I believe the Turbo sills are the same as the Europa in which case I have a spare pair here you could use as moulds - I'll post some photo's up & perhaps someone can confirm? Junks :)

Hi all! Have I missed an opportunity here or is it still possible to get a pair och NA sills? I think I prefer the matt finish, but I'm not 100% yet. How does delivery work? Is it possible to have them sent to Sweden? (fingers crossed) /T
