Isn't Jimmys engine box fresh and not run in? After my replacement engine it felt like I was driving around with the handbrake on :(

Ahhh, well I'm home.... No disasters first up just a crap result on the dyno. On a plus I was potentially not going to be able to make the National next week as I didn't have a dyno slot but NickB777 was kind enough to let me have one of his so I got my car in, it is healthy and has a good map for me to enjoy next week :) Fueling is great and the engine isn't stressed so it should be fairly reliable (famous last words). On a negative.... The lazy old bird only pulled 285bhp and 240lbs torque....? It was 265bhp and 240lbs @ Stage II so not sure exactly what the problem is. Courts latched on to the fact that I have a pulley 0,1" bigger than some of the 300bhp guys, but really...? They barely used 3 litres of fuel so I'm guessing they didn't try that hard but hey, sh*t happens and they know what they're doing. As I said though, 285bhp is 'all day' power for this engine as the internals are solid and the fuel pump isn;t going to have any bother keeping up!! It was +20 degrees C in the dyno room too so it should be ok on warm days too. thumbsup

Maybe just needs a bit of running in to loosen up. Still not a bad result on a warm day thumbsup

I think it's a sensible result but it might be telling me I have a problem somewhere else is my concern. I'm beginning to think I have an exhaust issue as it's resonating like a pig now..... Also could have a cam timing issue, dirty lams and yeah I guess I do need a smaller pulley....? I HATE the drive to Courts and I'm going to have to do it again some time now!!

Jimmy, Jimmy, chasing numbers will always end in disappointment. :D If you can tell the difference between what you've got and another 15bhp I'd be surprised. Also stage 2s range from low 240s to mid 260s on CS's RR, your results seem pretty spot on. If it's pub bragging rights your after then you better let your driving do the talking. :D

Because I did't listen to the chef :(

My pulley is undersize in comparison to the standard pulley but not quite as small as the one most people fit. I thought sod if a little less boost will keep the engine slightly safer but it came out 5% safer in the figures

Another example of a decat SC coming out lower power.....? What bothers me is zero increase in torque. I'm sure mine was 240lbs of torque before the remap..... ca't find my old dyno though or any mention on here what my power was

bargi shut it  All I did last season was chase numbers

Ah right. Mine was 254ft/lbs when i had 306bhp, Now i have 297bhp and about 249ft/lbs so your torque seems about right
