Most aren't relevant to any plans right away tbh.

Thing is It's a race car which the stickers illustrate so no need to remove them unil I get a new sticker pack my next competition (whatever that may be), Its not like indrive it to Tesco. Also in the mean time Im offering (albeit small) exposure to the people good enough to help my cause back in the day so maybe seeing this people will be more inclined to help me again in the future or new potential sponsors will see the tremendous value in sponsoring me
Plus it's alot of work removing all those!!! :D

Nah not yet Nev. Got to find a gap in my schedule and book a test date down at Pembrey. Only problem is if the weather stays wet then I'll not be able to achieve the lateral loading I'll need to test it so may hang it out a while....

Got to leave those stickers on it's a race, race cars have livery, without them it's just a track car ;)

True, my Saxo looks crap without the stickers (mainly as it's silver, we all know silver cars are ghey and invisible). Am looking to do a bit of a makeover in the off season.

Hey Al did you see my other thread...? They've changed the towing regs again for post Jan '97
  • a trailer over 750kg MAM as long as it is no more than the unladen or ‘kerb’ weight of the towing vehicle (with a combined weight of up to 3,500kg in total)

In my case my 406 is: 1460 kerb weight 2110 gross weight 3310 gross train weight My trailer can therefore be up to 1390kg gross, so long as I don't load the car right up. If I did load the car right up to 2110kg, I could only tow 1200kg. My trailer is 300kg, the Saxo is well under 900kg, so again would be safe.

Jimmy, remind me, how did you cross the bulkhead?

There are two option in my view:

1- Enlarge the hole in the rubber grommet to take the blinded AN-6 hose. (the downside is that you end with the hose pointing in the wrong direction once in the engine bay)

2- Use a bulkhead fitting ( FBM2072 for example) across the bulkhead, with a connection either side. The upside is that there can be no chance of chafing of the hose on the bulkhead and you can use a 90 degree fitting which allows you to take the hose along the bulkhead. The downside is the introduction on 4 connection.

I went for option 1

My concern with option 2 is fitting it all in!!!

It really is a squeeze getting all this lot in and tightening it all up.

I just about managed to cram it in then pull the slack through the bulkhead. If you had fittings then it would be fixed length hoses and more AN-6 fittings to try and tighten in a more awkward place then the two above. I'm not sure it's possible......

With regards to option 1 having the hoses coming through the bulkhead it wasn't a problem as it gave the the opportunity to feed them around my swirl pot shown below (Black ended return from swirl pot and red ended supply to the bottom of the sytec filter).

Jimmy, do your charge cooler pipe run under the chassis?

and how did you fit the sytec filter?

I've not got a heater so I use my original heater water pipes for the charge cooler (not sure of the routing of them).

The sytec filter brackets are in the pic above. I ran a small pilot drill into the extruded Ali and used self tappers.
