So first up, ditch abs module
Tee'd using the following hoses to replace the solid lines
Calipers on with big ole discs
Not got the correct hoses for these yet so little more to do plumbing wise so popped the wheel on for kicks
So as I've got the dash off for the rev light thought I'd chuck the Vbox in and my new toys
Loving my cockpit these days, so OEM looking!!!!
Only thing is, with no dash and start button, this is my key to get the engine running

Wait and see maxrs dashboard
You will fall in love
Well it's off now so if you've got a lightweight alternative I want one before I put this one on

Is your engine working fully without any gremlins ATM Jimmy?
Interesting to see the inside of the ABS module, I have no idea how they work really.
I believe so Mr C Was 99% sure it was a fueling issue and I've totally overhauled the system but not tested in anger yet.... Once it's back together I'll give it some stick.
Once I'm done with the brakes you're welcome to the abs module for disection

Jimmy what wires do you splice the change lights into any picture you can put up with your dash being off
The cables going into the back of the stack....... There's one that's White with a thin black stripe. that's your tacho connection.
You just need a positive and a neutral then. I used the green connection on the stereo plug as that's an 'ignition live' so only on when key turned and the neutral I just bolted to the chassis. I used the nuts for the airbag ecu.
If you need any more info, let me know

Exactly the same locations I chose as well.

However, my remote button for the Vbox (bottom right in the image) doesn't work so it's al coming apart again tomorrow Hope it's the button rather than the connector on the Vbox!!!!

OK so a few posts back I took the plunge and ripped out the abs unit....
Since then I've been busy fitting my new caliper configuration. Going for 4 pot AP's up front and 2 pot AP's on the rear. I understand this is a little too much braking force on the rear of the car now but I will do some testing with different pad compounds to try and rectify this....
So....
ABS out.
New 'T' brake lines to bypass the old ABS unit.
Started plumbing into master cylinder but then after talks with our resident brake guru JohnTurbo we decided to go ahead and ditch the servo.
So, Servo out
Had a new plunger made for the new system
Then fitted adapter plate (also blanked off vacuum line from SC).
Then mounted master cylinder.

Just unplug the servo vacuum hose (cap it off) and see how you like the braking now.
(Best tried on an open road.)
Read somewhere that the unassisted S1 pedal leverage is different from our servo pedalbox...

Are going to run a bias valve or different pads front and rear ?

Yes this is the Hofmann's kit. The actual kit comes with a plunger though.
It's a bold step to eliminate the servo, I hope you like it, the difference is startling in my experience.
I hope so too!! I'm changing the caliper configuration around though so the servo (I'm hoping) will not be needed.

Servo hose is still in place just capped off. If it's no good I'll just bolt it back on

Was going to run the AP bias valve but it's pricey! If I run a less grippy pad on the back I'm hoping it will balance out a bit.....
So..... I also went about mouning the new calipers today.....
FTR brackets on the back
And with caliper and hose...
Fronts have banjo fittings so torqued up
And mounted 4 pots
When I stripped out the old hoses I noticed one had a rough thread so once all was properly connected I pressure tested and found a leak
Ordered new solid pipe (was less than a tenner)
Then ready to bleed the system through and test. Not running with a handbrake for now, leaving cable in place however and will probably fit one of Steffan's when they're done.
ABS and Airbag alarms have been doing my head in on the dash for ages so I've linked them out so they operate as per mot rules but then drop out in normal operation
Big brakes in a big wheel. Bit dirty though
