- One of the belgian guys using obd tuner has created a custom gasket to enable the pcv again and that stopped bis car blowing out oily water.

 

 

 

This approach is identical to the one used by GM in the Z22SE/L61 tuning book:

 

 

It will also be the route I will be going down when I make the adaptions in a few weeks.  

 

 

I did this on mine and I get very little in my breather catch pot.  What I do find is that if I've been rolling round the roads for a while and then I give it the beans I get a big plume of smoke out of the exhaust.  I suspect fouled laminova.   It only does it once, but cant be pleasant for anyone following me!

I may not even include the catch tank. The reason being is that catch tank is located on the inlet, not outlet (typical flow is from filter into rocker cover, out of sump into inlet), however the PCV valve will close under boost and that may reverse the flow.

As I am building now with entering Time Attack in mind one of my next jobs will be to fit this

I've been lurking a little while now and I think it's time for my 4th VX.  Just sold my Elise CUP as it just wasn't a VX and have a lead on a very nice VX.  Watch this space
