Jimmy, when I sat in your car, I noticed that it was much wider than my MOG seats & more comfortable too. It also looked pretty good too!

Mine ARE the low sided version :)

:o

Looks like the Tillett's are still for me then. :(

Haha, Why's that Matt? You're welcome to a sit in mine, they don't inhibit entry at all, and I've got little legs which means my seat is further forward. If yours is further back I'm sure they will be fine.

If you do buy a Tillet give me a shout as I might want one to race with next season and we might get them cheaper as a pair thumbsup

Yeah, no problem for road/trackday use. Just a problem when you want to go racing and the scrutineers want to see current homologation stickers on everything.

Can they be used with the standard seat belt or do they have to be used with a harness? It looks to me like the lap part of a standard belt might sit too high given that it has to clear the high sides of the seats. I've seen a few VXs with these seats but they've all had harnesses.

Anybody know?

Given the silence, either none of you know or I'm not a member of the 'clique' and therefore not entitled to know.

Seriously, can these be used (safely) with a standard seat belt?

I had a look through the original topic but couldn't see a definate yes on standard belts. Probably have to ask them directly.

But, none of us are. Not sure anyone knows for sure. I think the original theory was they probably could be if the belt was fed through one of the side holes during fitting but that was with the higher sided version.

Cheers Matt. chinky chinky Guess the best solution is to fit a harness. And I was only being facetious about the 'clique'. ;)

i would of thought if you pop the lap part of the stadnard belt through the hole your probably fine, but without testing it who knows.

I've not made contact, if you do can you ask if we can get the Sevens style harness eyes, they look mean compared to the Saloon GT :)

Looking at rcvaughns pics his look forward quite a bit, but then I'm assuming he's got had a regular harness bar and not a JonBetts special so should get a bit more room for entry (still looks high though  ).
Also no seat belts but the harness is one of these jobbies OMP Road 4M which isn't much more hassle then a regular seat belt to use.
So it's people like me who have a FIA buckle it's a right pain for...

Joe and Lee have these seats, you guys use the standard belt?
