The Jag XJR had an interesting rear setup.

Aston Martin, too. Probably the same parts bin.

Wilwood make some nice 2 and 4-pot calipers with a integrated spot caliper. It's either them or HiSpec that also make a caliper that takes an optional bolt-on spot caliper as well.

I spoke with Geary a while back about rear caliper options... The problem seemed to be focussed on a rather unsupportive bolting pattern of the hub and how willing people are to reach for their chequebook for a real solution to the problem.

Yeah, that and the fact that Geary's rear HiSpec rear calipers with integrated handbrake mech used to bend when used. The conversion bracket is a decent solution to getting some uprated calipers on the back and there's no issue with supporting that 2-pot caliper. A spot caliper alongside that would have no additional load implications (unless you drove with it on but the pads are so small they'd disintegrate within a couple of miles).

the vockster came round today as i decided my vx wasnt quick enough

Due to the awesomeness of the m32 to change gears and diff we didnt have to take the box off it can be done in situ Imnotworthy

sooo out come the diff and looking into the box to see some lovely vxr gears

Posted Image

but they where not nice enough so out come the gears and prepared the new gears. I retained the VXR 6th gear for overdrive

Posted Image

then decided as the diff was out might aswell fit a quaiffe!

Posted Image

fitted brand new OEM bearings to everything as again might aswell while its all out!
