So that is 1 uncertainty less...
The ecu can do a crank relearn procedure where it detemines the exact timing of the crank (compensate manufacturing tolerances), but then the engine first has to run half decent.
For that Joe first has to fit a working 2 bar MAP/Baro sensor, as the ecu initially measured 195 KPa barometric pressure outside his house with a 1 bar version fitted. A faulty 2 bar Baro then measured 8KPa (should be around 100KPa) and that completely pissed-off the engine.
He has to make the car driveable, as we now can only log and tune the low load and idle area's. He has to cruise around to get some real data from the engine.
To run the LSJ ecu you need a 58-2 crank trigger at 118* BTDC and a camshaft trigger. So you can choose between 2.0 liter displacement crankshaft (Saab B207/Z20NET/LSJ) or the 2.2 liter YH crank.
Easiest for the cam trigger is to simply use the stronger Saab/NET head, as the needed LSJ cam trigger module is then a bolt-on. You only need the correct timed hex key in the exhaust cam. (Use the std LSJ cams or some hotter SC cams)
