I loved that van. Rather that than the freezing floor.

What's the status on the rear body Joe? (remember last time the custom one was coming off, and the oem coming back, but chopped or something?)

He has confirmed the z22yh trigger wheel is the same as the b207, 118 degrees. Next job is to get the base map adjusted from a stage 2 to a stage 4

Soooo, the LSJ ECU 'mostly' just needs a Z22YH crank and some form of modified cam trigger to work on the Z22SE..?

We had some concern about the Z22SY's crank trigger timing, but as Vocky stated it is now measured and confirmed it's around 118 degrees BTDC. IDentical to my LSJ engine trigger and we double checked this Sunday on a Z20NET engine block: 118-119 degrees BTDC.
So that is 1 uncertainty less... thumbsup
The ecu can do a crank relearn procedure where it detemines the exact timing of the crank (compensate manufacturing tolerances), but then the engine first has to run half decent.

For that Joe first has to fit a working 2 bar MAP/Baro sensor, as the ecu initially measured 195 KPa barometric pressure outside his house with a 1 bar version fitted. A faulty 2 bar Baro then measured 8KPa (should be around 100KPa) and that completely pissed-off the engine.

He has to make the car driveable, as we now can only log and tune the low load and idle area's. He has to cruise around to get some real data from the engine.

To run the LSJ ecu you need a 58-2 crank trigger at 118* BTDC and a camshaft trigger. So you can choose between 2.0 liter displacement crankshaft (Saab B207/Z20NET/LSJ) or the 2.2 liter YH crank.
Easiest for the cam trigger is to simply use the stronger Saab/NET head, as the needed LSJ cam trigger module is then a bolt-on. You only need the correct timed hex key in the exhaust cam. (Use the std LSJ cams or some hotter SC cams)

As explained above! Wanted to play with it this week but am double shifting again :9mm: Think I have tomorrow day off though so will upload the other map and fit the new sensor I have bought :) Bodywork wise smiley, I am fitting coupe part to the oem clam with widened wheel arches from the other clam :) Hopefully start on this soon! Grinder time :saw:

LSJ ecu and VX modified loom can be "provided", like Joe's, but the correct hardware should be there in the 1st place. Dialing in his YH hybrid engine will take some serious adjustments of the guestimated basemap he now has, as almost everything is different from my LSj engine: 2.2 liter instead of 2.0, a flowed head with hotter cams, a bigger exhaust system, the harrop blower and besides all that he runs a 3" MAF inlet tube and that alone will throw off the calibration big time... But it starts and runs, so we simply will let the ecu sort itself out in closed loop mode and get the fueltrims in shape. When that's sorted we move on to the Power Enrichment areas in open loop. That will be fun. rallly
