Aerocatches have a habit of failing. Some guy asked my buddy why his roof was dented at Snett Rnd2 TA. He told him because the aero catches failed at over 100mph. Then on his next run this guys aero catches failed and he lost his bonnet! Reputedly Umar was seen taping his bonnet down after witnessing the conversations. Touring cars use them I hear, but they dont hit the same speeds. ie 160+ mph.

I've got aero catches on mine and I haven't had any problem with them. I think it depends on how carefully you install them, how accurately you align the pins and how strong the mounting point is.

Le Mans GT cars use them and they hit 220+ so it is how they are fitted and to what.

Love the progress Joe, sooo excited to see this develop and hopefully hit the road soon.

sorry about being away for sooooo long, literally work has been manic... currently havent had a day off in about 5 weeks... pretty drained to say the least. plus with the house decorating and trying to sort out a water leak... aswell as helping my mum move aswell! However i have found time to book the car in for a full respray and for them to do all the fiberglassing work! too cold to be doing the fiberglass work ourselves so just easy and quicker to give it all to the bodyshop! the car is booked in for january Dave the trimmer is doing all of the interior lambo style! so cant wait for that! once the car is back then i can chuck the interior in and then take the car on the road for some driving data runs which will then hopefully finish off the mapping on the car :) 2013 should be a pretty exciting year!
