Don't let Nick see that, it's 2 years since his car did that and it's been teasing him ever since.

I've found some dry liners that are cheaper than the usual darton wet liners. However! The build book testing runs NA and boosts power with NOS. NOS is very hard on a bottom end as it gives a very viscious burn. OE liners might be OK beyond 400 bhp based on this. The liners I've found are a thicker / better iron replacement of OE. I'm not sure if this really is better as I believe its movement of the cylinder causing the issue so you might need the darton location rings. I'd be interested to see if anyone has tried fitting a partial deck plate (full deck plate cracks the block). Joe, why didn't you do a harrop group buy? I feel neglected! Where did you get it?

I didn't know anyone else who could justify such a cost also there is the fact that no one would do discount and Harrop themselves where more expensive I got this from ottp :) sorry buddy didn't know! As I have the same engine as the lsj they reckon bores are good for 400/425 whp so should be about 450ish although I won't be venturing this high! I want a reliable engine

I built you a 2.2 Saab Harrop engine and you neglect to mention you are fitting a Harrop, terrible  With the Saab oil jets cooling the pistons you should be able to have much better fuelling as you won't need the extra fuel to cool the pistons down thumbsup

probably more as it is a 2.2L the BMEP needed to make 400 will be less than a 2L
