Ah, ok then, I believe you. Anyway, I had a consultant paint specialist round today to give mine the once over, he said my rubbing down was exemplary.

  Did it get you a discount?
That all depends on what you're paying for ....

Little update Managed to get hold of an eagle crank so may build another engine ;)

Alright dude, bodywork mainly, ofher bits like fuel lines and interior can be done in a day Need to check cams out at some point

Was just going to type that about checking your ZZP cams! ZZP/Comp have made a wrong batch Stage 2 cams with a too big base circle (so the valves stay slightly open) creating all sorts of bad running problems... That is very likely the cause of your bad idling and not the lack of a cat, as me and my mate both ran the LSJ ecu without a cat for quite some miles. (but do fit the 2nd Lambda sensor in the pipe!)

ZZP/Comp have made a wrong batch Stage 2 cams with a too big base circle (so the valves stay slightly open) creating all sorts of bad running problems... That is very likely the cause of your bad idling and not the lack of a cat, as me and my mate both ran the LSJ ecu without a cat for quite some miles. (but do fit the 2nd Lambda sensor in the pipe!)

How long ago was this,

 

 

Think 1-1.5 year ago.I think.

I bought one 2nd hand, never used set St2 and this was faulty too. Have to see how things develop cam-wide, then I can exchange these for the most suitable grind. :happy:

Is there an easy way to measure / check this?
