Sad day... Thinking about stripping and selling the Vx for parts Maybe I bit off more than I can chew or maybe I just fell out of love and that's why I can't be arsed to touch it. But looking at figures etc it makes more sense to strip it for parts. We will see

Before the vultures gather, have you thought about just running it on the track?

I understand... Completely. Just don't rush a decision, give it time to stew over Christmas and make a decision in the New Year. Nothing to be gained stripping it now... Nothing at all. You could always see if the VX collective can spare some time to lend a hand over a few weekends to get it into some form of useable shape. There was always a risk of this happening with such a big project, just like any kitcar build, so many are never finished...

Wrong time of year for building up enthusiasm to be working on car projects 👎 Once its warmer and lighter outside you may just change your mind 👍

Cheers guys. To be honest it doesn't make sense financially either Doing a few number crunches etc and it needs a respray which is 4k then 1k on new seals etc etc etc that's another 5k of which I could add to the pot of parts money so I could then buy something a bit more special

Honestly, I'd sell it/strip it/whatever it takes to get as much as possible for it.

And go and buy something you can get interested in again. It's been too many years now, time to move on.

That's my view anyway.

Why not try swapping your body work for a standard clams etc and just build it back to a standard looking vx with a nice engine?
