I'd hazard a guess that recent deliveries suggest he has the whole suit! Do you really still have the headrest bolsters still in there? Get the grinder out!

As the weather was crap this weekend i decided to do all the little jobs

So set about removing the light lenses headlights went perfectly well, went out and removed the rear lights from the car to find out that the rear pax side only held in by 2bolts as the rest have been snapped :angry2: but anyway took the lenses of these and cracked the rear pax side least it was broken anyway but masked and primed them all up anyway:

I am waiting til tomorrow before i spray them matt black and glue e lenses back on as im a pikey and get good prices at my local motor factors :D

Then set about doing my brand new front v (yes I know im a butcher  ) I wanted to get rid of the badge and the circle

Posted Image

Gonna get my mate to fibreglass it up and I have a broken blind so will clamp the blind blade and sandwich the fibreglass to make sure it is straight :D

Then i decided to half my life by dremeling my front Louvres which possible will kill me soon  and also i covered the house in dust

Come on Joe, even I managed to do my V - probably 3 hours from start to finish, including an hour where I was off my face on the P38 fumes.

I blocked off the gap with a strip of plastic I cut from a DVD cover that I glued in place and trimmed down to suit.

Then filled it in with some P38 and sanded it all smooth once it was dried

Followed by some 3M DiNoc wrap and the liberal use of Jo's hairdryer.

Was this done in one piece?

Yep. It worked pretty well but took some stretching in a few places. I very nearly fecked it up by trimming down some of the excess so that I could stretch it more easily and nearly left myself short but it just managed to wrap round to the back of the V. Only thing that didn't go as planned was right in the very base of the V where the vinyl split. But managed to hide that by unsticking it and inserting a small offcut underneath it, before resticking.

If I were to do it again, I'd do it in two halves. thumbsup

When i did my V like that i made the mistake of using fibreglass to patch the hole! Took bloody ages to sand back down to a flush surface! In fact i got bored of doing it and took me a good 3 months of sanding a little at a time! :beat:

I used a 120cmx30cm piece from this guy. Had quite a lot left over from the full length but the depth was right for the V. He's put his prices up a bit as well. Bloody inflation.

Joe, You will most definitely have the most comfy, tactile proper track day car out there....Unfortunately, you will need the Harrop just to drag all your creature comforts around with you! :groupjump: ...Will I have to take my shoes off when you take me for a PAX ride? ...it looks fab mate! I can't wait to see it.
