I have a 2Bular which Jim stuffed with the new wadding stuff and whilst it is noisy (98dB) it hasn't got any noisier in the 20k I have done since fitting it. Did Brands at the weekend and passed noise test there OK and din't trip off the drive by either.
Just want a decat silencer now. Jim... Jim... are you there Jim...
Give me a bell Cliffie -Joe's got my number - a little bit crazy at the moment, quicker to talk! Cheers!

What are the general thoughts on wrapping the manifold and down pipe. I've read as many reasons not to do so as those which recommend it.
Joe,
why didn't you get a re-packable silencer? My Tubular silencer had to be thrown away after a few track days as it burnt out all of Jim's wadding (it was completely empty) Ive now got a tullet re-packable rear box & that now needs to be re-packed as it's getting much louder.
Also, wrapping your manifold & pipework may accelerate this process as the heat will be even more extreme in the box. My paintwork around the tailpipes also got burnt.
Your car will be without doubt the most beastly Supercharged VX to date...My car is quick, but yours will be lighting up the tyres exiting corners & on the straights...
I too may bolt on a Harrop at some stage, not for more power but for it's quietness....How odd does that sound!
Yes, the big-power Vx's were certainly a learning curve! In compensation, you were given a £1600 full system FOC for your 2-eleven Max - or did you forget about that? btw, I know what you did - you're certainly worth the watching, as we say up here.
Ah Jim at Last!
Jim, please let me remind you of what was agreed...
I spent a lot of time and effort for you to produce the VX S/C exhaust going backwards and forwards to make your jig. The agreement was that the first exhaust was the prototype & you would supply me with a final & correct fitting exhaust. On finishing the first exhaust it was found that the 4-1 manifold would not fit, Courtenays had to use a lump hammer to pursuade it to fit together with the u-bend under the subframe. It has now been modified to fit by another company & still is not right, that is why you have now change the 4-1 arrangement on your current system. It took many weeks for you to get this far with my system & you at the time was not interested in resolving the matter in any great hurry. As I had a just bought a 2-Eleven at the time & you had a system in stock we agreed that that would compensate for VX exhaust system which was not fit for purpose.
Nevertheless, this is about your rear Silencer & the packing material & the promise you made that it would not require repacking. I asked several times for a re-packable system at the start & was assured by you on numerous occasions that the rear box wouldn't require re-packing. I was not expecting it to be completely empty after 800 miles or so of use, neither were you! My point was, and still is, that a re-packable box makes sense for a high powered track orientated S/C VX.

The R&D time/effort/costs were all down to ME. Your R&D exhaust didn't work. I compensated you in full (and more) - end of.
Sorry for the thread-drift Joe!
