Hopefully be finished soon then! I wonder what the eta is? I will give jon another ring tomorrow, as to be honest I'm considering dropping the ecu and selling the harrop to FLD and going to stage 3 just so I can use my expensive heap.

Corrected it for you spunk bubble.

12 litres more capacity and internal baffling to prevent fuel starvation on low fuel and left handers.

Does the Vx have a baffled sump? If not do people fit one?

Nope, no baffles, worth considering. Or alternatively keep your oil level high (which also helps with cooling).

Joe, in retrospect of my project I would consider going after-market. I think in the long run it will speed things up for you and eventually pay for itself. Mapping isn't so hard, particularily small tweaks when you change things like a pulley size etc. At least you have the advantage of being able to use (already having) a cable throttle so you don't have the FBW hassles that put me off having a 3rd party ECU originally. Just my 2p worth after a similar project to yours...

i dont have a cable throttle? i am keen to stick with Jon at courtenays as they know the z20 ecu well aswell as the sc maps with the z22. so as i am combining the two together i think we are on to a winner.

plus i am very keen to keep the fbw tb as cable throttle introduces more potential issues/failures which i am not keen on.

i am willing to stay being patient and waiting for the mapping to be finished i think alot of time and effort has been put into this so only a bit more mapping and ironing out a few more issues and this will be finished.

My car will be booked in with CMS when they have finalised it to have the remaining modifications needed and also dyno at the same time so i am only making one trip. This means that the engine will be sprung to life on the dyno which i am happy to do

Hmmm, cable vs etb. One nice thick, strong cable vs 8 flimsy little wires, two electrical sensors and 4 wiring plugs I know which way I'd go if I knew I wasn't pioneering.

Cable is a pain though. Is it not true it's easier to regulate an ETB with regards to mapping?

Much better warm and cold idle with an ETB and no need for an idle control valve. Rik on here has done a cable conversion on his SC (using Elise bits) and was running a Megasquirt that he then changed for a DTA, I think. So it wouldn't be pioneering.
