Just because I'm paranoid, doesn't mean they're not out to get me. :ninja:

Phenolic intake gasket

What will you use as a workaround, now that the bottom inlet manifold bolt no longer fits?
Just use washers on the thread where it's bolted to the engine?

The ZZP phenolic spacer comes with 2 thick washers to space the bottom mount out so everything fits again.
(Sort off... Rob also had to enlarge the boltholes a bit to move the bracket upwards for correct fitment...)

good day i think :) vocky had a couple of spare hours today, so he popped over and we got on with making the circuit board to make the amal valve thingy majig work! then we found out that maplins where out to get me and gave me the wrong resistors!! then they almost did it again but made them check when i was there and they where wrong and couldnt find the right ones :9mm: so i bought a billion resistors in a pack and we made up the board using various different amounts of them!! so thats all sorted and entered the ecu pins to wire up another sensor in there and bingo wiring was done! as me and vocky where bored we decided to take the harrop off  :9mm: mixed emotions with that silly heavy thing!! took the intake and alternator off. Then we set about changing the pulley for a lovely piece of kit machined by the vockster to make it 6 rib to match my sc pulley and crank pulley. while the intake was off it would have been rude not to fit the phenolic gasket!! so we did B) then vocky made a quick escape so i was left to bolt the silly harrop down which is even harder now the gasket has spaced it aprox 8mm closer to the bulkhead :9mm: man that harrop is big  but all sorted and went for the big start up and what happened? tick tick tick tick tick  stupid dead battery :beat:  cheers for your hand today Niel Imnotworthy so things left to do before i can take it for a drive: bolt rear clam down rear spoiler bolts change the fuel or change the fuel tank  i think i will just change the tank, will remove the seats tomorrow and get the car in the sky so that i can access the fuel tank. then i will drain the tank (29L of 1 year old v power  ) and put the fuel in the astra coupe  thats about it really! then its tax, insure and thrash i mean run the engine in ;) the end is very near i think :D

remove the fuel pipe from the fuel filter outlet, attach a very long hose (with jubilee clip) direct to the astra's fuel filler, bypass the fuel relay and wait until the tank is empty

^^ This... There's a pump in your tank, so use it! (Or you must feel bored now and are looking for unnecessary work. )
