I need to get hold of a sc manifold and resist the temptation to do a sc conversion straight away and get it sent off so a new design can be designed and tested on mine.

Don't, the temptation will be to copy it. Give somebody a flange to match the inlet on the head, a SC to manifold gasket and the dimensions of the space behind the engine and let them come up with a decent design that sticks the charger down at the bottom of the engine.

This seriously needs it's own project thread, but the oil filter housing is the major problem for a low mounted charger on our engines.
Easiest and most feasible is to "stretch" the SC mani (relocate/smaller race alternator) design and simply fit longer laminova cores. More cooling surface, less resistance. Win Win.
