Methanol not allowed Time Attack Club class is it?

Only 19 E85 stations in the UK, so that's a non-starter. thumbsdown

You can run water meth injection. But I don't fancy it. I need to get hold of a sc manifold and resist the temptation to do a sc conversion straight away and get it sent off so a new design can be designed and tested on mine.

Don't, the temptation will be to copy it. Give somebody a flange to match the inlet on the head, a SC to manifold gasket and the dimensions of the space behind the engine and let them come up with a decent design that sticks the charger down at the bottom of the engine.

thumbsup At least we don't have the heat that the turbos need to deal with, so it wont need to be a cast manifold.

Exactly. I went to see him today to pick up some bits and spoke to him briefly about what we have and what we need and said about the weight of the charger but he seems happy to look into it and he seems confident that he can crack it which will be good for us and the USA lads so potentially alot of sales.

This seriously needs it's own project thread, but the oil filter housing is the major problem for a low mounted charger on our engines.
Easiest and most feasible is to "stretch" the SC mani (relocate/smaller race alternator) design and simply fit longer laminova cores. More cooling surface, less resistance. Win Win.

Problem with lightweight race alternators is the bearings though surely....

My manifold is ported :D  It's the laminovas I have my doubt in them muchly... I will try removing the caps in the laminover as a simple easy test but ideally j want a a new much more efficient heat exchanger
