I can confirm that no cage in Club is OK... I aint risking it though.

Think I'd rather take the 20kg hit as well, if I were driving it competitively. Shame there's no real half way solution like an A frame and removable petty bar for the VX, to give even a bit more protection.

i dont think i will roll it :) and if i crashed it bad enough for the cage to be needed then the chassis will be fooked and i will have a headache... (hopefully still attached to my body and the oem rollbar should help keep me allive) i havent got the budget for a cage..

And hopefully that's all in the event of it ever happening. thumbsup

Full rollcages are pain in the arse in any car, let alone the already cramped VX but they're not there to save the chassis. I'd even take just the Elise/Exige rollover bar as an improvement over ours. Maybe with your new bodywork it would fit okay?

Would be even more of a pig to get in the seat.. You have the door beams plus the chassis to take a full on impact IMO this is ok.. But positive thinking is the way forward ;)

if you draw an imaginary line from the roll over bar to the front end of the dash it cuts your head in 1/2.. this is pretty much the line the floor will be on should you roll it.. chances of you rolling it tho are pretty slim, largest chance of you rolling it is entering gravel sideways at speed and your wheels catching and digging into the gravel sending you spinning..

Been looking at your side skirts... its on my loooong list. Do they lower the outer edge? The sills seem to slope up slightly so the floor isn't flat. I've been thinking they should flatten the floor and extend it out with a lip to prevent air going under from the side.
