cheers lads :) managed to get a few bits done today as parts for maxrs beast didnt show up!

bits done:

petrol cap - after spending £50 on random filler neck pipes i managed to make something out of carbon fibre to fit and keep the original filler neck intact which im fairly happy about :)
cut out all the mesh for the rear clam cut outs, front clam cut outs, some of the bonnet, however i need to ask the supplier if he can supply wider mesh as the bottom of the bootlid is very wide... but all the rest is cut out and ready for clam removal and tiger sealing. due to time and work commitments i imagine this will happena fter cms remap
oil and filter change
rear brake cooling ducts

bits left to do:

modify the cc pipes (i was planning on using the ones i ordered but ended up using them on Maxrs car :9mm: )
swap lock mechs
splitter
diffuser (waiting for sheet metal)
front brake ducts
18" tds - hopefully order these this week!

here is a phot of the rear brake cooling ducts and the petrol cap (not the best but will do)

Posted Image

will fit some black washers and black bolts for sure!!! probably spray the petrol cap aswell!!!!!

Joe, how do you know the rear naca ducts will suck air to brakes and not 'bounce off'? Would it be worth to manufacture some sort of 'scoop'? Then again .... it is only rear brakes...

Joe, how do you know the rear naca ducts will suck air to brakes and not 'bounce off'? Bernoullis effect says they would.

Thought it would be TBH :( it was always designed as a compromise and adjustable between road and track. Oh well picking it up gives me a good excuse to have a nose round that black thing you've got sitting on your drive ;)
