anyway, the harrup htv 1320 , this is now oem fit on the Evora S, wonder how much they are at Lotus prices.

Woo, thats good to know. I'll ask my lotus friend.

Machining the supercharger will not help you much. Good flowing/cooling inlet manifold, good head and exh. flow and map it well for high compression and E85.

doubt it, courtenays tried doing one and no one was interested  the harrop on the evora will have a different snout on it... dont think they are interchangable like the m62 if my memory is correct

Joe can you please see what happen to the seat belts? They never get to Portugal. You cannot ignore the fact that i've already paid that a long time ago! I've send a lot of PM's and e-mails but you never answer! Sorry the off topic but was the only way to get your attention. Regars

E85.

Not sure I've ever been in a petrol station that sells it in the UK. So, not much good if you have to go 100 miles out of your way to get it.

Edit: Just checked and there's only 21 fuel stations in the UK that sell it. A good number of which seem to be in Norfolk, so handy for Courtenay's but not much else.

Same in NL, not many sell it and more expensive than petrol... :angry2:

the new engine is coming along nicely :D

Saab 2.0 turbo converted to a 2.2 with a z22yh crank / eagle steel rods / wiseco 8.9:1 forged pistons.

The saab block has under piston oil jets and an oil cooler, the z22yh crank has a 60-2 trigger wheel and with the saab crank sensor should be able to run a z20let ecu :)

It has also been modified for an electric water pump

Also attached is the M32 3.94 close ratio six speed gearbox Imnotworthy

Looks damn good! Are you going to paint the block? Whats the gearbox from? Its something I'm considering so knowing what the best box choice is might be useful.

Sounds good, but no a fan of the lowish 8.9 compression on SC's. (Maybe for a boosted Harrop) How will that work out with head gasket ? Think the 8.9 is calculated for a std. 2,2 gasket so the thicker Saab item will lower it to ~8,5?? :glare:

yes once the wiring loom has been made.
the gearbox is a 2.2 with astra 3.94 internals which give similar gearing to the F23 4.17 box

should free up some ponies using a leccy water pump :P

the engine will rev very freely with a lightened flywheel and no balancer chain, so should free up some power
Mine is certainly fun to drive with the same set up :D

lowering the CR with forced induction seems to be the norm, plus this engine will have a Harrop at some point and the head will be skimmed so compression will still be around 9:1

I never thought about that, but how do you run the oil cooler with an electric water pump ?
