That top wishbone mount looks way out of spec, the epoxy har cracked  I'd hate to find that after buying a car with "no chassis damage"..

Where did I say no chassis damage? All the photos are there and I said it has very light damage to the upper front carrier. It goes back into spec all ok. So its for anyone who wants a bargain or to come and look to make their own minds up.

That top wishbone mount looks way out of spec, the epoxy har cracked the epoxy cracked is not looking good to me, i see you mention "It does have some very very light chassis damage to the upper font arm carrier but I have been told by a couple of enthusiasts in the US that it isn't worth worrying about" did they see the cracked expoxy as this to me is something i would be worrying about for the price.

I'm back to the original problem of time again. I can just see this sittng here until Summer and I still have no time. Its such a shame to see one not being used.

Shame your not more local i'd of given you a hand, i still think you should crack on with it.

Tomorrows Sunday! Prime up the bulkhead and glue up the crash box, strap it up with a couple of cheap ratchet straps and leave it over night. It will look so much better in the morning. thumbsup

Are the front lights turbo ones?
Where did you get the car into geo?

Looks like the mating surfaces are still firmly sealed though? Dumb question time, because I can't remember, why was the VX/elise chassis glued again and not aluminium welded?

Lighter/cheaper and more accurate.

Welding too hot for the aluminium and causes distortion/affects strength? I think.

Sorry Matt, are you saying the grade of aluminium used would be too sensitive for welding?
