I know there's a few watch freaks out there! Does anyone own a Suunto Core All Black or Regular Black? Can't decide between the negative and positive displays. chinky chinky

Thanks for that. thumbsup The positive display is obviously much easier to read but it just seems too bright. I'd prefer something a bit more subtle but want to be sure I can read it. Have you tweaked the contrast at all? chinky chinky

Thanks, nice watch. The issue is that the Core All Black doesn't have that much contrast.

IMO negative displays look OK (and in some cases, very sexy ^^^) in normal use but so much better when you activate the backlight compared to normal displays. Having the numbers light up is much nicer than just the background thumbsup Just depends how often you expect to use the backlight really  I always go for watches with dark backgrounds whether they are digital or analogue faces. So my personal preference is biased. DO IT!

Much prefer the stealth look of the negative display but the positive display seems so much more readable:

Different type of watch, but I now have a traser chrono bd pro with the blue tritium, it is stunning and I can always read it thanks to the illumination. I have had other, more expensive wAtches but it is a great every day. I just wish there was an omega seamaster or speedmaster with tritium...
