Good news... We have 10 made and hopefully we may have the other 15 knocked up this weekend. If people were to see what we are doing in Annette's lounge you would think we were running a sweatshop!

There are two rolls of fabric bigger than her sofa that are having to slice up and then stack ready for being attacked with the sewing machines.

So once the production run is complete I will need everyone to send me their postal addresses on PM (packet dimensions are 20cm x 30cm x 12cm, see pic below) and I will then send out my PayPal address for money to be sent. Would prefer PayPal as a gift, but as previously said will accept a personal cheque. I will visit the postoffice on my lunch on Monday and get all the ones made up and packaged posted out to you (if monies have been received).

Much much less that that GiGo, around the 300g mark, but yours may be a few grams more with those foil bags inside. However I have to admit that yours will probably have to be delayed until next weekend as I has some trouble with the bags yesterday, but we think we may have a solution, but will require a touch of tinkering during the week so I can get them back to Annette's for making up.

Hello all, Please see the update on the orders.

I have packed up all the items that have been made so far, apologies if the completion of orders seems a bit weird after no. 10 as Annette had to do some in batches to speed up the process as marking them up is difficult to do if changing stitching patterns. However she is going to work on the rest this week ready for me to collect on Saturday afternoon. This will mean that all being well all the remaining orders will be sent out next Monday (15/11/10), which is a week ahead of schedule.

Markv and 2-20 I will double check the posting costs whilst I am the post office tomorrow lunchtime and get back to you with the extra shipping charges (but based on the Royal Mail website it looks as though it should be £3 extra).

Very tempted. How is it attatched to the soft top? (probably been described but i haven't seen anything) *edit* just seen its described in the first post lol Anyone got any fitted and have any feedback on fitting and if it makes a difference to warmth? Cheers

I could give you feedback personally, but obviously that may be considered biased. The only person to have one of these (made by myself) is Cramman. The only other person I know of to have a similar item was MartinS... but his was made by someone else a while back.

Without trying to be pushy (it really isn't my style) if you do want one drop me a PM and I will add you to the list, at this current price... but once Annette has finished this first run they are going to have to go up in price as I cannot afford to turn them out at this price any longer (given the amount of time I and Annette have put into these, if we were to call labour at £5/hr each on the 27 ordered we will have lost money - I am doing these at a real bargain).

I will advertise these on eBay (once this run has finished) but will be either £30 or £40 for the base item with a pretty much an identical additional cost for the fancier stitching + postage costs.

Further to a couple of extra requests I am willing to extend the window of opportunity of orders for 2 more days. After this I am going to have to put the price up. These will then be offered at reduced rate £30 / £35 / £38 (all + P&P) for members of here and vx220.org (+Type116.com). They will also be available at full price on eBay (price tbc) So if you do want one PM me before midnight on Wednesday 17th November and you can have one at the initial price of £20/£25/£28 including postage and packing. I know it is a fair hike in price, but given the amount of effort involved in making these (I drastically underestimated this) this is better reflection of costs. Mangham54
