Last weekend I had the 1000 km race. The car was fine and fast, we were at 5th place behind two LMP cars and two Porsches, but after 4 hours of race down pipe cracked and turbo gases burnt gear linkage cables :( We didn't have spare ones, so we had to retire from the race.

Here are some photos:

What grade of metal was your downpipe made of Martynas? Maybe you should upgrade it to 321L or better with 2+ mm walls (ideally 3mm walls for super fat welds).

As I remember, he has bespoke wishbones which not only alter the horizontal plane angle, but push the hub out a bit to the outside edge of the car. Im not sure if he uses OEM hubs though.

Yes, we are using 321 grade steel, but we temporarily haven't found out the reason of cracking - it could be exhaust mounting problem. Chris, no doubt, inconel would be best solution :) If seriously, I hope you will give a few advices on welding the turbo manifold, because we will be making turbo upgrade in near future.

We have custom rose jointed wishbones. Hub centre in our custom upright is raised by 35 mm. Chassis mounting points remain stock according to FIA regulations.

Maybe ring up Simpsons in England for a quote for an Inconnel manifold - it won't be cheap though :(

Hey everybody, quick question. What is the difference in length between N/A and Turbo gear linkage cables (Because I want to order them today)?

Talk to Chris Tullett, last quote I got for an inconel mani was £2.5K+VAT. That's expensive but much less expensive than dumping 1000k races in the bin.
